Custom Hand-forged Period Style Frontier Belt Knife

Blade Steel: 1095 high carbon steel, tempered to a Rockwell 59-60

Construction: Full Tang

Dimensions: Blade 4 1/2" - Handle 4 5/8" - Overall 9 5/8" including the lanyard - Width 1 3/16" - Thickness 1/8"

Scales: Grainy red oak, secured with four iron pins.

Sheath: Handstitched rawhide over veg tan leather, decorated with a deer hide fringe and brass tacks.

Finish: Brute de Forge finish with hammer marks. Period correct.

Special Feature: Forged lanyard. File worked on the spine of the blade. Forge marks.

This knife is stamped with my makers mark “NR” and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Great for re-enactors or collectors who crave tradition. Hand-made in the traditions of long ago. Very sharp.
