Custom Hand-forged Period Style Frontier Belt Knife
Blade Steel: L6 high carbon tool steel, tempered to a Rockwell 59-60
Construction: Full Tang
Dimensions: Blade 4 3/8" - Handle 4 5/8" - Overall 9 5/8" including the lanyard - Width 1 1/4" - Thickness 1/8"
Scales: Black walnut, secured with four iron pins. Rawhide/cord bolster.
Sheath: Hand stitched rawhide over veg tan leather, decorated with a deerhide fringe and brass tacks.
Finish: Forge finish. Period correct.
Special Feature: Forged lanyard. File worked on the spine of the blade. Forge marks.
This knife is stamped with my makers mark “NR” and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Great for re-enactors or collectors who crave tradition. Hand-made in the traditions of long ago. Very sharp.
